Blood Run
ztn's Quake World and Quake III: Arena classic now for Quake II

Features:
- completely rebuilt map from scratch with Q2 physics and gameplay in mind
- a default DM layout with additional tourney and high-octane layouts using entity overrides
- levelshot for appropriate mods
- AAS file for bot support
- location file for team games, based on the location tags in the official Quake III version

Known Issues:
- lighting may look like turd in R1GL

sweet. I'll put it up on my servers tomorrow when I get back to work.

you did a really nice job on this.

I really appreciate mappers who takes the time to actually go thru the testing process fully and make the best possible map they can, and use input from players to get it tweaked just right. It looks great now, works smoothly.. it even has nice item placement and movement opprtunities for q2, which is usually the pisser when you try to convert from one game to the next.

Vae, MediaFire is only racist against whites, blacks, hispanics and asians, so it shouldn't be a problem

Added an attached download anyway. Also, I once again forgot to include that caulk texture, so both zip downloads have been updated with that.

Yeah the ultimate would be to have it added to vanilla since that's by far more popular than mutant, but quadz is understandably strict on what maps get added there, being all vanilla and stuff

KMQuake2 with bloom etc. and shamelessly had its colors cooled down, brightness and contast increased a bit and saturation lowered in PSP

Original maps piss me off and make me swear at Radiant. Thanks for uploading it to the server again. I also see at least 2 other servers have the RC running, don't know who did that.

Looks like HappyFriar has been promoting the map a bit over at PlanetQuake.... thanks man!

I added the PQ link because people don't like mediafire. Plus it was a small map & you provied pictures so it was an easy upload.

I hate that map though (not yours specific, but that map in all Quakes). I *SUCK* at that map. My duel life expectancy is in the seconds and I normally get no points.

I've indeed been considering it for vanilla given its (near) lack of custom textures.

BTW, your rc1 version of this map was featured on last Friday's KOTH event. Someone chose it as their duel map, and then after the event Jehar broadcast a walkthrough of the map.

BTW, I noticed the 'caulk' texture file is quite different between the rc1 and the final. Is this intentional?

afaik, that texture is used in the map editor but due to surface properties in q2 never shows in-game in the map.

I uploaded the e1u1/black texture and renamed to caulk.wal on my servers a while back because when testing the beta versions it was coming back that the texture was unavailable for download upon connecting.

that might be where the second one came from, as I think he hopped on irtdm2 once to try it out.
