I have never seen this in any map before, so I hope that I was the first one to do this. This strange twist makes the map more interesting because your grenade will travel further than normal and when dead bodies get blown up, the gibs will bounce around the level too! The way that this grenade and gib bouncing effect is accomplished is by using 2 trigger_gravity layers in the map. The lower layer is only 32 units thick and has the gravity set to 0. The upper layer extends all the way up to the sky brush and has the gravity set to 20 which means that it is 20 times normal gravity or (20 X 800) 16,000. The lower layer needs to have a gravity of 0 or the grenade would instantly go down and stick to the floor. Because the map might be ran with the WoD 8.0 mod and someone could use the Jetpack to float up above all of the grenades, I included a single shotgun in the middle of the map. The flare gun could be used to take someone out of mid-flight, but the shotgun would be more effective. There is only one shotgun for the center of the map so it will make it harder to get the shotgun as well. When you walk over the shotgun, you get to hear the DOA sound play. You can also take advantage of the 0 gravity layer to shoot the grenade even further. I included a demo that will show you how to do this. If you duck and shoot the grenade low, it will fly just above the ground and hover at the same level. It will continue to hover along unless it either goes low and sticks to the ground or goes up into the high gravity area and begins bouncing. When you get just the right aim, you can shoot the grenade over half the distance of the map. One other strange thing that happens in the map is when you try to fire the bazooka (from the WoD mod). It will fly out, immediately go straight down into the ground and blow up right in front of you, causing serious damage to yourself. You are able to avoid this by applying the same low flying technique with the bazooka as you can with the grenade. And when the bazooka flies out and then hits the high gravity area, it immediately goes straight down and blows up, giving the illusion that it just blew up in mid flight. With practice, you can launch the bazooka out at an angle to purposely blow up around 10 to 30 feet in front of you by sending it either to the ground or into the high gravity layer. Enjoy. ~(_:(1) -DJ ===================================================================== * Copyright stuff * Please don't do any direct copying of any part of my map.
