Twin Diodes - by Sven, ya! Final Relase - 11-6-00 ========= Installation ========= Unzip with the directory structure intact into your Quake2 directory. Enter "map sventourney1" in the console to play. ========= Bot Support ========= I highly recommend gladiator bots for this one. Download them at http://www.botepidemic.com/gladiator. AAS file included with this download. ========= Gameplay Notes ========= This is a small, 1v1 map based on the tourney style of play in Q3A. You could play up to four people if you wish, beyond that's just a little too hectic. There is quad and I always recommend setting your server to "drop quad" for some fun fights over who has the power. :) ========= Style Notes ========= Yet another Q2 map trying to be Q3A, you say? Well well well it's so much more than that! Most Q2 maps that try for the Q3A look either use a bunch of curves or the gothic textures from Q3A. I have yet to see someone try to match the feel of the tech textures and feel in Q3A. So, I've experimented with creating that feel with the two big diodes shooting lazers back and forth and the chrome trim on the upper level. Special thanks to Brendon Chung from whom I got the idea for how to make shiny surfaces in Q2. I got the idea while beta testing Citizen Able 3 (nyah nyah, I played it before you did!). Wanna know how I did it? I don't see any money, pal! ========= Known Bugs ========= Nothing serious. In one spot the r_speeds get just over 900, but mostly they're within acceptable limits. On earlier versions the bots got dumb and stoped moving after taking the one jump pad, but placement of a new spawn point seems to have fixed that annoying problem. ========= Copyright ========= (C) 2000, Chris Druckenmiller.
