Distance clipping may occur if this option is not used. Sorry. The following lighting settings were used to create this map: set vid_gamma "0.650000" set gl_modulate "2" set intensity "2" You may want to change these settings to in your autoexec.cfg or config.cfg file to get the best lighting results on your PC. *BUILD INFO* Build Time: 40 hours Map Run Time: 30 minutes Utilities Used: Tread 3D v. 1.12 Nem's Mega 3d Terrain Generator v2.2.0 Arghrad for lighting http://www.planetquake.com/arghrad/ *INSTALLATION* If you get this zip file intact, follow these steps: 1. Right click on the zip file. 2. Select "Extract to...". 3. In the "Extract to:" blank, select the directory "C:\Quake2\baseq2\" 4. Under "Files", select "All files" 5. Check off "Use Folder Names" 6. Select "Extract" This should put the files in the correct folders Then to run the map, get into Quake 2, bring down your console by selecting your "`" key right above the "tab" key on your keyboard, then type in "map leray27", hit enter and this should call up my map. You can also view the file "leray zip.doc" in this zip file, which shows you how your zip should look before you extract the files. *NOTES FOR MAP* I called this map "Cayenne Valley" because Cayenne is HOT and so is the Lava Trap in this map! he he Cayenne is also a must for good cooks. Well this map took about 2 months to complete, but I took my time and added some detail to it. I think it was worth the effort. This map has a lava trap, which is activated by a floor switch, you don't want to get caught in here. It has a moving platform to the Rocket Launcher and a elevator to the Chain Gun. It has one teleporter and an underground water tunnel that has 3 entrance/exists. An outside room has a floor with holes in it, underneath is a lava pit. If you keep running through here without stopping, you shouldn't have any trouble. But if you do stop running, you can fall through the holes. This map has a rotating sky, which I think looks cool. It has every weapon, some more than once. No secrets and no invulnerability. Hope you like it!! If the sky doesn't look right, make sure you have your VIDEO - 8-BIT TEXTURE set to "NO", this will correct the problem.
