This is a Quake 2 glitch and not a mapping alignment problem. I always wanted to make a circular jump map and here we go. It took a long time to align all the textures, mainly because I used a high poly count for the circular sections in order to make them as smooth as possible. I eventually added an upper section with a huge funnel that you had to drop through, but the section would not compile correctly with light using TxQBSP3. It compiled correctly with light using QBSP3, but then all the perfect texture alignments were screwed up, so that was out. I took a break from this map and made q2dm1_race, lol. Came back and removed the upper section and made the map a lot harder because I figured people would complain that it was too easy. I was dead wrong, the 3 people I showed the map to all said it was too hard (and annoying). I made it easier again and now it's done. I think it's a decent looking map with or without high-res textures. So far as the gameplay, it all depends on how much you like ice slide maps. The last jump can get annoying because it will occasionally only launch you about 1/3rd as high. This is a Quake 2 glitch and not a map alignment problem. Try to figure out how to get to the ancient head at the lower center of the map. I added a fake entity so when the map loads you see an error that says: "The Spawn Of Satan doesn't have a spawn function".
