i apologize for posting in this area, but it seems this is the only section where the tdm/1v1 players frequent consistently.

there will be a mini 16 player tournament for q2 1v1 and the success of this will determine whether a q2 1v1 tournament will be made for about $1000 total ran by GGL. any players interested email @ fogartyt@gmail.com. 8 slots are already taken, but keep in mind not participating in this one doesnt restrict you to join in on the one with money (anyone can join). maps will be the basic ones (not 100% determined, but looks like q2dm1 q2dm3 rage chastity and one more). any questions feel free to ask.

BTW, if y'all think a custom forums section and/or tdm/1v1-centric forums board would be helpful, just lemme know ....... Easy enough to create ........

thanks quadz. that may be a good idea. i would like to set up a poll for maps at some point.

i've had requests for some other maps (aerowalk,kryptonite,ztn2dm2). i think q2dm1 q2dm3 and rage should be in the map list by default simply because they have become standards over the years throughout q2's history. chastity belt seems to be very popular so i listed it earlier. i think for now i'll stick to the 3 maps, wait for some more map suggestions (if any), then make a poll. likely going to do 5-6 maps for the map list.

16 people filled up quickly. the names are below in first come first serve order. i hope to see some good games (im sure there will be with such a list of players). more news about the tournament in the coming days.

edit: even though I agree q2duel5 is a good 1v1 map the NA community has not taken the time to play it and learn it enough to be apart of a tourney maplist.. yet. try getting others to start playing this map more often and maybe it could become part of the next tourney's map list/poll
